Social Media Design
Object is an e-commerce platform offering a curated selection of high-end interior design brands. Targeting North American professionals aged 30–50, Object caters to design-savvy individuals who value premium, well-crafted furniture. The brand’s identity should evoke confidence, sophistication, luxury and vibrancy.
As an e-commerce platform selling design products, it was essential to create a visual identity that is simple enough to keep the focus on the product, yet memorable enough to stand out.
To achieve this, I designed a logo that is both simple and full of personality. By combining serif and sans-serif fonts, I created a blend of boldness and simplicity, conveying confidence. I chose a signature color for the brand, orange, which evokes confidence and sets the brand apart in the American furniture market (where most brands stick to black and white), especially on social media, a crucial touchpoint for e-commerce.
The typography, mixing serif and sans-serif fonts, also plays a role here, not only to highlight certain terms but also to balance elegance and simplicity. This approach ensures effective communication with a broad age range.
Finally, illustrations inspired by Bauhaus furniture designs are used as visual assets, enhancing the brand's versatility in its applications and creating an aesthetic connection between the product and the visual identity.
