Editorial Design
The project consists of a film exhibition focused on Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, which later became the subject of my thesis years after. The idea was to move away from the traditional kitsch obviousness of the artist and his iconic posters and propose a reinterpretation of his cinematographic influence in terms of aesthetics and design.
I sought to translate Pedro Almodóvar's vibrant and dramatic aesthetic through a bold palette of saturated red and pink, which is one of his visual signatures. I used a simple and modern typography to balance the intensity of the colors, creating an asymmetrical composition that brings dynamism and breaks away from tradition, without losing the expressive essence of his films. The goal was to offer a contemporary reinterpretation while maintaining the clarity of visual hierarchy and the director's striking personality.
